Well, here I am to write yet another blog about gender roles. This week was a little different then the past couple weeks in that I knew exactly what I wanted to write about. I've been watching this particular show called, "Tool Academy" on VH1 for the past couple of weeks, but for some odd reason it never struck "my fancy". After watching this past weeks episode I was very entrigued about what the show was all about. The girlfriends of all these so called "tools" brought their boyfriends there to try and clean up their act and make them more faithful, mature, and better men, in a nutshell.

I was able to see that the show was almost depicting men as meat heads and all about themselves. The show is able to convey from the men's perspective that they can get away with a lot more then women. To them what they are doing is okay and acceptable, however, if their girlfriends even though about doing half the things they have partaken in, they would be considered "sluts" or "whores". I think its an accurate depiction of most men everywhere because they believe the woman she be there awaiting them while they go out and have fun and party.

I hope this was intriguing and sparked some interest. I know some may not agree with this but its what I took from the show after I watched it.
